The T.W.I.S.T. Conference Committee is looking for student speakers to present at the 14th Student Conference in Linguistics which will take place on April 17th and 18th. Are you a BA/MA/PhD student studying linguistics or doing language-related research? And do you want to share your thesis, paper, or project with a community of fellow students in a 20-minute talk? You can be one of the 22 student speakers at the conference.

Submit your abstract now!

Speaking at the conference will give you the chance to polish your presentation skills, and you might gain new insights in your own work through questions from the audience. Attending the conference as a speaker will grant you free entrance on the day you are speaking and will allow you join the Speakers' Dinner where you can get to know students from other universities and exchange your thoughts.

Check out the Call for Abstracts poster here. You can also spot our posters around the Leiden University's Faculty of Humanities, as well as at the Linguistics departments of other universities in the Netherlands.

Conference to be held at the LUMC

11 November 2019

The next T.W.I.S.T. Conference will be held in the LUMC, the Leiden University Medical Center. Traditionally, the Lipsius building has served as the venue for the conference but due to renovations in 2020, it is not available during the weekends. Hence, we have chosen for the LUMC building to serve as our new venue for the 2020 conference.

The LUMC is at a few minutes walking distance from the Leiden Central station, making it the perfect location for those coming by train or bus. Its spacious lecture rooms and modern facilities will allow speakers to pull off a perfect presentation.
